The contribution studies the evolution of Industrial Relations in the Italian civil aviation sector during and after the pandemic. Starting from the IR framework, the authors analyze how the pandemic impacts on the sectoral workforce, then moving to the issues raised by the Alitalia-ITA Airways case and to the legislator’s and trade unions’ attempts aimed at improving the workers’ rights along the air transport value chain and to fight social dumping. Finally, the role of the EU Social Dialogue and collective action is considered, especially in the contest of the LLCs’ anti-strike strategies.
